The "Khu Tap The" (KTT), social housing 1960-1980 are often in poor condition and some are destroyed to be replaced by more modern projects. Nevertheless, the KTT have their charm with a strong sense of community and pleasent common grounds including parks, play areas, and sports fields. The KTT Kim Lien is one of the oldest and largest in Hanoi. It is emblematic in this respect and is an excellent example of the social life of Hanoi: The village in the city.
